IBM Notes Traveler - Exchange account password - Unable to verify account information
Question:
You are performing an Apple iOS profile installation for IBM Notes Traveler. However, when prompted to "Enter password for your Exchange account" you are typing the correct Domino internet password, but it is not working. It displays error: Unable to verify account information
Cause:
You might have recently changed the Notes Traveler External URL in the IBM DD server record. Simply search for "/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync" in your Domino Web Server Log (domlog.nsf), then open the record and try to click the URL link. You will notice the web client will display an error as seen below.
Http Status Code: 404
Reason: File not found or unable to read file
Answer:
Open your Web Site record in the IBM DD "Web - Internet Sites" Notes View which corresponds to the Notes Traveler external URL you configured in the IBM DD server record.
Create 2 Web Site Rules as seen below, then issue server console command: tell http refresh
Try your Domino internet password again when prompted during the Apple iOS profile installation.

Type of rule: Substitution
Incoming URL pattern: /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync*
Replacement pattern: /traveler/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync*
2. Web Site Rule 2
Description: IBM Notes Traveler Web Rule
Type of rule: Substitution
Incoming URL pattern: /servlet/traveler*
Replacement pattern: /traveler*
